Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions that affect your body and health. It works with the structure and function of the body, and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues functioning smoothly.

Osteopathic treatment does not only target symptoms but looks for the cause of the problem. This holistic approach to treatment uses of a wide range of techniques, including joint mobilization, massage and myo-fascial release, functional technique and cranial osteopathy, as well as exercise.

Brooke Robinson studied to be an osteopath in Australia after completing her Human Movement degree, in which she majored in sports physiology and nutrition. She is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and has completed post-graduate courses in dry-needling and the treatment of pregnant women.

Brooke has a strong interest in sport and rehabilitation as well as the treatment of pregnant women and hopes to expand her interest of both at Spinal Joint, Kingston. She is also currently working with Northampton Saints Premiership Rugby Club as their osteopath.
